Irisches Liebeslied – Text: Frederick Weatherly (1913 publ.), Melodie: Rory Dhall O'Cahan (ca. 1600): Londonderry Air, bearbeitet von Paniolo 
Obwohl der Text 1910 ursprünglich für ein anderes Lied geschrieben wurde, modifizierte ihn Weatherlys Schwägerin 1913, so dass er zur Melodie von "Londonderry Air" passte. Danny Boy war als Botschaft einer Frau an einen Mann gedacht und der Author lieferte selbst als Alternative Eily dear für männliche Sänger. Dennoch wurde Danny Boy größtenteils von Männern gesungen.

Da Danny Boy i.d.R. sehr langsam vorgetragen wird, besteht relativ viel Spielraum zum Arrangieren der Begleitakkorde. Hier werden nur die wesentlichen verwendet, die natürlich sehr effektvoll durch melodieangepasste Zwischenakkorde ergänzt werden können.
