[Bearbeiten] English: Blender Dokumentation seems to use non-GFDL license
Yesterday, at Friday 17 February 2006, some people from http://mediawiki.blender.org came to #wikibooks on Freenode. They believed that Blender Dokumentation is a copy of some pages from their wiki, probably http://mediawiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual.de/Handbuch. Their wiki uses the Open Content License, see http://mediawiki.blender.org/index.php/Meta/Licenses.
Their concern is that the Open Content License appears to be incompatible with the GNU Free Documentation License ("GNU Freie Dokumentationslizenz") that de.wikibooks seems to require. I do not know what de.wikibooks policy is, but en.wikibooks and several other Wikimedia web sistes require GNU FDL exclusively. Further, I think that the classification of Open Content License as a non-free license by the Free Software Foundation (see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/license-list.html in English) proves that the OCL is not compatible with the GNU FDL.
Thus it might be necessary for this wiki to remove Blender Dokumentation. --Kernigh 18:50, 18. Feb 2006 (UTC) (en:User:Kernigh)
- This topic is extensively discussed on the projects page. Basically I wrote both pages, but de.wikibooks.org was earlier - which could have been checked easily by the dates. But my mistake that I didn't state it on mediawiki.blender.org. --Soylentgreen 12:22, 20. Okt. 2006 (CEST)
