229. Das negative Adverb des Motivs oder Grunds, verbunden mit dem negativen Pronomen "neniu", ist "nenial", aus keinem Grund, ohne Grund, grundlos:

- Er ist grundlos eifersüchtig. |
| Nenial li trompis vin. |
- Ohne Grund täuschte er dich. |
230. Das negative Adverb der Weise ist "neniel", keineswegs, auf keine Weise
| Mi povos neniel aranĝi konkurson. |
- Ich kann keineswegs einen Wettbewerb arrangieren. |
| Tiu ago estas neniel laŭregula. |
- Diese Tat ist keineswegs fair (regelkonform, gemäß Regel). |
231. Das negative Adverb der Menge ist "neniom", nichts von, kein:
| Tiu pentraĵo postulas neniom da lerteco. |
- Solch eine Malerei verlangt keine Geschicklichkeit. |
| Estas neniom da vino en lia glaso. |
- Es ist kein Wein in seinem Glas. |
232. Das Suffix "-iĝ-" wird benutzt, um aus intransitiven Verben inchoative Verben zu bilden, das sind solche, die den Beginn der bezeichneten Handlung ausdrücken.
a. Inchoative Verben, die sich aus einer intransitiven Verbwurzel ableiten, deuten den Beginn oder die Entstehung der in der Wurzel benannten Handlung oder Bedingung an:

- sich setzen, sich hinsetzen, einen Sitz einnehmen |
| stariĝi |
- aufstehen, sich erheben, sich aufrichten |
b. Intransitive Verben könne auf ähnliche Weise aus Wurzeln transitiver Verben gebildet werden. Sie bezeichnen dann eine Handlung des Verbs, die nicht direkt mit der Aktion des Subjekts auf sich selbst zusammenhängt (wie im Falle reflexiver Verben, 41) und die nicht durch eine direkte Aktion verursacht werden (wie im Passiv, 169):
| La pordo fermiĝas. |
- Die Tür schließt sich. |
| La veturilo moviĝas |
- Das Fahrzeug ist in Bewegung. |
| La branĉo rompiĝas. |
- Der Ast bricht. |
| Grupo da personoj kolektiĝis. |

c. Intransitive Verben können auf ähnliche Weise aus adjektivischen Wurzeln gebildet werden. Sie bezeichnen dann den Erwerb der charakteristischen Eigenschaft, die durch die Wurzel ausgedrückt wird.

Estas tre agrable eksidi sur herbo kaj rigardi dum bela somera tago la plilongiĝantajn ombrojn. Iom post iom la suno sinkas kaj fine malaperas malantaŭ monteto. Apenaŭ komenciĝas la krepusko, kiam la subiranta suno ŝajnas fali preter la horizonto. Tute male okazas en landoj tre nordaj. Tie krepuskiĝas tre frue en la tago, kaj la krepusko daŭras longan tempon antaŭ ol venas la nokto. Efektive en tiuj landoj la krepusko dum ses monatoj de la jaro tute anstataŭas la nokton. Tie oni havas krepuskon dum jarduono, kaj la taglumon dum la sekva jarduono. Krepusko daŭranta tiom da tempo estas tiel rimarkinda kiel tago de tia sama longeco. Mi dubas ĉu tia disdivido de la tempo inter tago kaj malhela nokto estas agrabla, sed oni ne povas eviti tion. Ĉiu tre norda lando havas en ĉiu jaro tiun travivaĵon kaj fakte oni apenaŭ rimarkas ĝin.
